Coral Series

My objective was to create a system focused on the role of human activity and climate change in death of coral reefs globally. Using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, I created original icons, patterns, posters, and publication spreads. My work was shown in the Suffolk University Gallery in a popup exhibition which I helped assemble and vinyl cut letters for.

a collection of icons including a thermometer, fish, calcium symbol, anchor, coral, island, scuba goggles, and bubbles
a gallery exhibition titled cognitive dissonance with a variety of posters hanging from the walls and ceiling
a poster that reads 'there's still hope' with a fish and coral nearby hangs on the wall surrounded by icons of other participants of the art exhibition
a set of three posters, one reading 'there's still hope,' another reading 'coral reef recovery' and another reading 'coral & climate' a series of patterns showing fish, netting, coral, starfish, polyps, scales and water

a series of spreads from the coral publication, one reading images of coral, a poster that reads 'there's still hope' and typeset articles about coral and climate change

Apple Three Trillion Dollar Company

This illustration was created as a hypothetical visual for a Forbes article about Apple reaching $3 trillion market value. Using Adobe Illustrator, I stylized letters to appear more metallic and created graphics of Apple products.

Arsenica Type Specimen

I created a type specimen for the typeface Arsenica with the goal of demonstrating its versatility and potential different applications. I included content relating to Italy because early Italian 19th century posters were was one of the typeface’s main stylistic influences.

a pattern made of sword glyphs
a type specimen cover titled 'delicated danger, an Arsenica type specimen, font family designed by Francesco Canovaro' with type falling and pressing against each other
a spread titled 'alignment' showcasing different alignments of type
a spread that reads 'Inspiration... early 19th century poster design; artists like Giorgio Muggiani; Art Nouveau and Art Deco sensibility' and 'Francesco Canovaro'
a spread that reads 'phrases' with a list of italian phrases
the entire alphabet written out in different weights of Arsenica
a variety of typeface glyphs
a spread of the article 'origins and evolution of the advertising poster in Italy' typeset
a spread that says 'type anatomy' with the parts of letters labeled

Beverage Can Design

I wanted to create a can design for a beverage that would catch consumers’ attention from afar. I created the brand Dirty Blonde—mocha flavored lattes with blonde shots of espresso. I vectorized the image of the mascot in Adobe Illustrator and combined with type and nutrition information in Adobe InDesign.

a zoom-in on the type of the design that reads 'Look at me funny before I've had my fix of caffeinated chocolatey sweetness, and you will find yourself in a world of hurt. My demons are at bay now but trust that they are willing to be called upon at a moment's notice. You will be dealt with. Keep it moving if you don't want this day to be your last.
